The Ulster Gliding Club operates on Saturdays, Sundays, some Public Holidays, midweek during Easter week and one week in July. In addition to this, mid-week courses are organised on an ad-hoc basis according to demand. The club is run on a co-operative self-help basis by its members and at present membership is open and new members are welcome. The club is affiliated to the British Gliding Association and operates in accordance with the requirements of the BGA and the Air Navigation Order. All club instructors have passed the rigorous examinations of the BGA and are subjected to re-test at regular intervals.
