The Saint Patrick Centre is situated in the heart of Lecale, St. Patrick’s Country and nearby are St. Patrick’s grave and the site of the first church he established in Ireland, Saul. The Centre has the only permanent exhibition dedicated to telling the story of Patrick’s life and journey. The highlight of a visit is the IMAX presentation, which takes the audience on a virtual tour around Ireland showing sites connected to St. Patrick and Early Christianity. A visit is not complete without a visit to the gift shop which sells quality local jewellery, pottery and crafts. The Centre also has a café and exhibition space. The St. Patrick Centre runs an education programme with an emphasis on community relations work.
