Waterside House Campsite is a beautifully situated family run campsite on the northern shores of Lake Ullswater. Located at the foot of Barton Fell, it is an ideal base for mountain biking, walking, sailing, fishing, and pony trekking. Facilities include freezer for ice-pack use, volleyball, and table tennis. Boat launch and boat storage facility on the lakeshore. The pretty village of Pooley Bridge with its shops, cafes and a few inns is one mile from the campsite and can be easily reached by road or the lakeshore footpath. Open: 1st March - 31st Oct. Cross Dormont Camping and Caravan is a friendly, family run site located on a working hill farm with pastures along the southern shore of Ullswater.

Ideally situated in the heart of Cumbria's Lake District National Park, set in magnificent scenic splendour an ideal base for such activities as hill walking, fishing, cycling, mountain biking and sailing. Relax in tranquillity and peace, with fantastic views of the lake and surrounding hills and mountains.

We cater for tents, caravans, and dormobiles, accommodating large and small parties. Come and meet our friendly Alpacas Alfie, Rocky, Gilbert and Jacob!

Small boats and dinghies can be launched from the fields skirting the lake. This lake frontage is also available to fishermen, free to anyone staying with us. Open: Beginning of March - End Oct.
