A traditional style English restaurant within a grade II listed conservatory. It was built over one hundred and fifty years ago, looking out over the extensive grounds of the hotel. Our menu has something for everyone, dishes include: lamb tenderloin coated in grain mustard upon a gratan potato, and grilled swordfish on a bed of watercress. Service is always friendly and relaxed, and we are more than happy to cater for individual requests.

Chez Jules Restaurant

71 Northgate Street, Chester, CH1 2HQ
Tel: 01244 400014     E-mail:

Chez Jules is settling in and some changes have already been made to this former fire station. A new space upstairs has been included, complete with its own bar, although the overall bistro-style decor has changed very little. The menu is changed daily with about six starters and the same number of mains. Chez Jules has established itself as a firm favourite with the local fraternity, which may not be entirely disassociated from the easy prices.
