This picturesque village resort is something of a suntrap and stands in one of Yorkshire's most handsome bays. It is sheltered from the strongest weather by spectacular cliffs but was not always so fortunate. In the 17th century the village was virtually washed away. Nearby Kettleness is a headland that has become a nesting site for many seabirds. The ‘Hob Holes' are caves which resulted from the mining of jet.

PREDOMINANTLY ADULT SITE. A quiet sheltered park with lovely south facing views in a prominent position. Located in the small village of Hinderwell with its pubs and shops within easy walking distance. Only 8 miles north of Whitby. Heritage coast, Staithes and Runswick Bay only a short walk away. Pets are allowed. Available for hire are two Touring Caravans on fully serviced pitches. Wonderful walking area with many available from site. Rallies Welcome. Supplies can be obtained from off site shop (150 Yds). Local Pub (100yds). Tennis Courts (200yds). Sandy Beach (1m), Indoor Heated Pool (5 m), Golf Course (6m), Horse Riding (2.5m). Directions: Turn off the A171 onto the B1266 (signposted Hinderwell, Runswick Bay). In 2.5 miles at T junction turn left onto the A174 (signposted Hinderwell). Site on left in 2.25 miles in High Street (just past Badger Hounds Public House). Open: 1st March - 31st October.
