Pleasure Trips on the Mary Ann Hepworth Heritage Lifeboat - leaving every half-hour from Whitby swing bridge. 10am 'til Dusk throughout the season.
The boat is the longest serving lifeboat in the country and has been seen in episodes of the Yorkshire television series 'Heartbeat', with Adam Hart-Davis. It can also be seen in the TV series 'The Royal', and 'One Summer in Whitby', and once again in 'Island Race' with John McCarthy and Sandy Toskvig.

National Trust items, gifts, books and maps are available in the shop, plus a range of sandwiches, snacks, hot and cold drinks and ice-creams. Indoor seating and outdoor picnic area. Free roadside parking in the village. Nearby historical features, the remains of Peak Alum Works and Ravenscar WW2 radar station, are open year-round and accessed via the Cleveland Way.

The 37th North Yorkshire County Show will be held at Otterington Hall, between Northallerton and Thirsk on 21st June 2015. This year promises to be another great show with plenty of attractions and events planned including a range of Main Ring Attractions, Traction Engines, Classic Cars and Motorcycles, Cattle, Sheep and Poultry, Rabbits, Ferrets and Fancy Rats. Children's Inflatables, Country Pursuits, Driving Classes, Horticulture and Produce, Arts, Crafts, Photography, Yorkshire Country Women's Association & Children's Classes. Also at the show will be the Yorkshire Food Marquee, Craft Marquee, Trade Stands, On-site Catering including Ice Cream, and Real Ale Bar.
