Built in 1598 Burton Agnes Hall is a magnificent example of Elizabethan architecture filled with treasures collected over four centuries.

Lawns and topiary bushes surround the Hall and an award-winning garden contains a maze, potager, giant games, jungle garden and four thousand plant species.

There is a woodland walk, picnic and children's play area as well as a cafe, shops and ice cream.

Home of Sir Tatton Sykes, 8th Baronet, Sledmere House was built in 1751 by Richard Sykes and extended in the 1790's by Sir Christopher Sykes, 2nd Baronet, on grounds that have seen a Manor House from Medieval times. Known for its ornate plaster-work and mighty pipe organ, 18th Century walled gardens and magnificent deer park.
