Included are
schools providing courses and equipment hire, yacht
charter, dinghy hire, etc.
Not all the water-based activities
available in the area are listed but if you know of an
appropriate activity provider who does not yet have an entry, please
submit the information here.
A wide variety of outdoor activities, abseiling,
archery, Canadian canoeing, coastering,
pioneering, orienteering, hill walking, mountain
biking, rafting, ropes courses, communication
games, bridge building, powerboating, climbing
and Wind Surfing.
A Northern Ireland-wide youth development
charity, has opened its doors to public groups
wishing to undertake outdoor activities,
including canoeing, kayaking, archery,
orienteering, team games, walking and climbing.
Watertop Open Farm is a family activity centre
with pony trekking, boating, pedal go-karts,
Watertop quad train, assault course, scenic
walks, farm tours, historical trail, children's
play areas and small animals to touch and feed.

Welcome to Antrim Coast Charters, the yacht
charter company offering yachts for bareboat
charter in Northern Ireland. For the 2004 season
we are pleased to offer two yachts new to the
fleet. Shining Dancer, a Jeanneau Sunshine 36
and Midnight Mirage, a Moody 376. Shining Dancer
is based in Carrickfergus, N. Ireland and
Midnight Mirage in Largs, Scotland. From either
base you are free to explore the delights of the
Northern Irish and South West Scottish coasts.
Bann Rowing Club is affiliated to the Irish
Amateur Rowing Union. The club colours are red
and white.

From Glenarm you can easily sail to anywhere -
the islands of Islay, Jura and Mull and the West
Coast of Scotland are only a days sailing away.
It is approximately 5 hours to Campbeltown, from
where you can visit many areas within the Clyde
like the Isle of Arran. Most destinations can be
seen from Glenarm, making planning your passage
so much easier. Call for more information.
Based in Carrickfergus Marine. Instruction is
available for all levels from beginners to
Yachtmaster offshore (RYA). The minimum age is
15 years old. The school is easy access to the
Scottish coast and the sheltered waters of the
Clyde and inner Hebrides. Portpatrick is a mere
20 miles away. Courses are 5/7 days in duration
and the cost includes all meals aboard. Yachts
are maintained to high standard and are
inspected annually by both the maritime safety
agency and the RYA. The aim of the school is to
provide students with the necessary seamanship
and navigational skills to fly solo as it were.
No previous experience in necessary.
