The Joseph Rowntree
Theatre is a volunteer run theatre near the
centre of York and provides a venue for amateur
and professional theatre, dance, music and other
stage based events.
A wide and varied range of
shows are put on in the theatre, mainly by local
amateur organisations with a few visiting
professional events. The Theatre telephone is
manned between 18:30 and 22:00 on Performance
nights only, at all other times an answerphone
