A range of cycling breaks for all those looking
to explore some of the UK’s classic countryside
by bike. If you’re looking for a cycling holiday
on quiet roads, traffic free paths and National
Cycle Network routes - then these are the
holidays for you. Tours in Northumberland & Tyne
& Wear include: Coast to Coast – Whitehaven to
Newcastle; Hadrian’s Cycle Way, Northumberland
Coast and Castles; and Northumberland Roman Wall
and Coastal Castles.
Haugh Head Garage is a
filling station and cycle centre situated one
mile south of Wooler on the A697. Our cycle
showroom has over 80 cycles on display, a full
selection of helmets, parts and accessories, as
well as a fully equipped workshop to carry out
any services and repairs.
We also have a selection of
top quality cycles for hire, including child
seats and a trainer bike. On and off road routes
are available on request.
Open all year. Large range of bikes, mainly from
GIANT including hybrids, 21& 27 speed hard-tail
mountain bikes, road bikes and tandems. All
adult bikes have lightweight alloy frames and
wheel rims, and Shimano rapid fire gears for
ease of use. Women specific bikes available . We
carry both girls and boys bikes in 24 and 20
inch wheel sizes. For the smaller family members
we can provide tagalongs and child seats, which
may also be fitted to your own bike. Helmets are
provided with each bike, as are a lock, pump,
bottle & cage and seat pack containing a trail
repair kit. Lights can be provided if required.
For touring we have racks and pannier sets and a
luggage trailer for camping. Free delivery to
Newcastle - one way hire by arrangement.

Open April to September. Comprehensive cycle
service including hire of very wide range of
customised ATB's (All Terrain Bikes) and
children's bikes, specialising in "Moulton"
bicycles, from 2hrs upwards. Booking is
advisable. Rescue service available. Run by a
touring advisor for the local cycling touring
club. Plus routes, advice and repairs.
"Raleigh" mountain and hybrid bikes (children &
adults) for 1/2 day, daily and weekly hire.
Tandem hire also available. Suggested routes
provided and specialist repairs carried out.
