This little exhibition is easily missed in its spot beside the railway station but it is in an ideal place for miniature rail enthusiasts. This is a show for adults and children alike, with 323 metres of 00 gauge track making up the four main oval systems in the central display.

Also a large N gauge track with a Germanic theme plus a large area for children containing Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends. Up to 21 trains running at any one time. There are interactive buttons throughout. A large well stocked gift shop is attached.

Visit York's friendly and independent Brewery, where beer is brewed using traditional methods. Join one of the daily guided tours around the brewery, for an informative and entertaining insight into the art of the master brewer. The tour includes one pint of beer sampling. The UK's largest Maize Maze is opening near York. The 27 acre puzzle has a Viking theme and over 5 miles of pathways to get lost in! The maize plants grow up to 8 ft tall creating a unique experience for visitors. Refreshments and a picnic area are available. The maze will be harvested in October and used as cattle feed for the winter. The maze entrance is located within Grimston Bar Park & Ride. Follow the signs for the Grimston Bar Park & Ride, or catch the bus from the city centre.
