The St. Ives Recreation Centre is jointly
operated by Huntingdon District Council and
Cambridge County Council and offers the
following facilities: Indoors: Swimming Pool, Sports Hall,
Badminton, Volley Ball, Basketball, Roller
Skating, Indoor Bowls, Five-a-side football,
Annex Table Tennis, Martial Arts and Children's
Activity, Fitness Multi-gym and other modern
equipment, Range Archery, Pistol and Small-bore
Rifles, Solarium, Licensed Family Bar, Function
Rooms. Outdoors: Grass Pitches, Football,
Hockey, Rugby and Cricket Synthetic (All
Weather) Pitches. Hockey and Training Floodlit
six lane arena. Athletics Four Squash Courts.
Three Hard Tennis Courts. Two Licensed Bar
Lounges.
Littleport Sports & Fitness Centre was opened in
May 1994, The centre is an excellent sports
facility, which provides the population of
Littleport and surrounding images with the
opportunity to participate in a wide range of
sports and recreational facilities. The sporting
and social facilities at the centre provide
ample opportunities for individuals and teams to
excel in their chosen sports.
The Main Hall is used for 5-a-side football,
badminton, basketball, roller-skating,
volleyball, and other activities such as
trampoline. Palms Health Club: State-of-the-art
fitness room, Comprehensive range of Techno gym
cardiovascular and resistance equipment, Wide
range of free weights equipment, Air
conditioning, Aerobics studio, Squash courts,
Badminton, Solaria, Crèche, Bar.
Paradise Pool incorporates the following
facilities: Indoor 4 lane, 25metre training
pool, Indoor leisure/learner pool, beach entry,
super charged air geysers, bubble ring. Changing
village with family and baby change facilities
and electronic lockers. Separate male and female
team changing rooms, electronic lockers.
Function suite suitable for meetings, training
and conferences. (catering available on
request). Cravings cafeteria serving a selection
of hot and cold food. Full disabled facilities
including hoists, poolside wheelchairs,
hydraulic bed and private changing/shower rooms.
Paradise pool has a full and varied programme
including lane swimming, disabled sessions,
family swimming, fun sessions, aqua aerobics,
parents and tots, 50+, fitness sessions,
children and adult lessons, swimming club, and
lifesaving club, plus many more.
