Founded in 1962 by
five local businessmen the original 9 hole
course was located on the site of an old 2nd
World War Prisoner of War Camp.
Using borrowed tractors and machinery and the
goodwill of the members this 'self help, home
made' course quickly gained in popularity and
plans were soon in hand to expand and develop
the facilities. Over the years the course has
developed into a good test of golf for all those
who venture out on to its tree lined fairways. A
parkland course with many attractive features,
none more impressive than the 11th century
Cathedral which dominates the local skyline. Ely
City Golf Club warmly welcomes visitors. Please
contact us for further details.
Hemingford golf
course comprises 9 holes, but with its varied
tee positions offers 18 holes over 5414 yards.
It has been constructed to a very high standard
(U S G A Specifications) and offers a fair but

ability.
Our greens are among the best in the county and
are in play almost all year round. The club
hosts major competitions throughout the golfing
year and as a fully affiliated member of the E G
U (English Golf Union) has a busy fixture list
of its own.
We are proud to have been featured in the
publication - Britain's 100 Extraordinary
Golf Holes, in which our 9/18th hole is
described as "what could easily be Britain's
most perfect green".
The club house bar offers members and visiting
golfers an excellent service with bar meals and
various choices of organised meals for visiting
groups and societies that we are confident will
round off your golfing day and encourage you to
come again. Club cars are available to rent for
your convenience.

club offers a range of facilities that are hard
to match - from the bars and restaurant with
sweeping views of the course, to the meeting
rooms and professionals shop. Brampton Park is
also very well connected. Thanks to its perfect
location close to the A1/A14 junction, it's just
an hour away from London and less than 30
minutes drive from Peterborough, Cambridge and
Bedford.

and has a par of 72. With its mature and

for both high and low handicap golfers. It is
the boast of members that - "you need to use
every club in the bag". Facilities at the club

and fresh challenge to the expert.
Orton Meadows Golf Course was opened initially
as a 12 hole course laid out on land available
within Ferry Meadows Country Park. The course
was subsequently extended to a full 18 holes
with the additional holes being built on land
reclaimed during gravel extraction. The course -
a par 67 of 5613 yards designed by Dennis and
Roger Fitton - is extremely picturesque,
surrounded by trees and having much wildlife
including many varieties of birds and waterfowl.
As well as interesting scenery Orton Meadows
provides its own challenges and rewards with
water featuring on no less than 10 holes. The
third is a long, some say par 5. The second and
fifteenth compete to be the shortest with the
15th just winning!

St Neots Golf Club was formed in 1890 and is the
oldest club in Cambridgeshire. The course is not
long by modern standards but Harry Vardon
incorporated enough subtlety to the original
design to challenge the advances in equipment
that have made other courses outdated. Situated
of the Rivers Kym and Ouse, the course combines
water features and other parkland qualities in a
harmonious and natural way. The Clubhouse offers
all comforts from well equipped changing rooms,
plentiful bar area and an 80 seater, air
conditioned restaurant. The Club is within 1/2
