A great day out for the whole family. Ride the
waves or travel down the flume, or simply relax
in the diner, overlooking the pool. A truly
tropical experience. You can have a workout in
the gym, or take part in an aerobics class, play
badminton or just have a swim.
A sports hall with four badminton courts is
complemented by a small fitness centre and two
squash courts. A regular programme of sports,
aerobics and martial arts are held at the
centre.
The Oasis Leisure Centre is situated on the
seafront of Hunstanton overlooking the
picturesque panoramic sea views of the Wash, on
a clear day you can even see the Lincolnshire
coastline opposite. The Oasis boasts a wide
range of facilities including both Indoor and
Outdoor pools, Bodyworks Fitness Room, Indoor
Bowls Hall, Sunbeds, Squash Court, Young Persons
Drop Zone, Fast Food Cafeteria and an Aerobics
Studio.
Downham Market Sports Centre is located at the
High School site on Bexwell Road in Downham
Market. The centre opened in 1994 and is a dual
use facility shared with the local high school.
Public facilities on offer at the centre include
the Bodyworks fitness studio, a sports hall,
fast tan sunbed, pool table and Internet kiosks.
The Sports Hall is available for hire per court
or for team sport activities such as 5-a-side
Football, Basketball, Netball or Volleyball.
Activities currently running in the sports hall
are Aerobics, Taekwondo, Carpet Bowls,
Wheelchair Short Mat Bowls, Roller-Skating and
50+ Badminton.
King's Lynn Sports Centre situated within the
campus of the College Of West Anglia is a
dual-use facility. Used during the college term
time by college students undertaking a wide
range of courses and activities, during the
evenings and weekends the sports centres
facilities are available to the public. The
sports centre facilities include a 5 court
Sports Hall with Climbing Wall, 4 Squash Courts,
Fitness Room, Sunbed and Martial Arts Area with
plenty of space to accommodate the very popular
Children's Birthday Parties.
St. James Swimming & Fitness Centre is West
Norfolk's premier swimming facility. Comprising
of a 6 lane 25m competition pool, separate
Teaching Pool, Health Suite, Vending, Viewing
and Reception areas. The Walks Hard-Court Area
is also administered from the pool comprising of
a Basketball court. St. James is also the home
of King's Lynn Warriors Swimming Club, competing
at Local, County, District and National levels.
Consisting of over 150 members with all
abilities catered for. The Warriors currently
have a National Age-Group Champion and two
Midland District Champions within the club. St.
James also boasts the largest Swimming
Development package in West Norfolk, catering
from complete beginners and parent & toddlers to
improvers, stroke developments, adult classes, "Aquafit"
sessions and crash course swimming instruction.
