The course of the Royal North Devon Golf Club is situated on the Northam Burrows which is a large area of common land two miles north of Bideford and today plays on the oldest links in England.

The Burrows at first glance look too flat for a challenging golf course but this is an illusion. The course is in fact quite hilly and hazards such as ditches, burns, bunkers and the great sea rushes make it difficult at this 6665 yard par 72 from the white tees and 6398 yards from the yellow tees. This course is a must for all golfers playing in the south west.

Situated in the natural beauty of the Sid Valley and with wonderful views of Lyme Bay from several fairways, Sidmouth Golf Club offers the perfect challenge for the golfing novice, as well as providing a test for the more accomplished golfer. Sidmouth Golf Club was founded in 1889, and designed by J.H. Taylor, it makes the most of the natural contours of the wooded western slopes of the Sid Valley. At just over 5000 yards, visitors could be forgiven for regarding the course as easy. However, this is far from the case. Each hole provides its own challenge, and undulating fairways and subtle borrows add to this demanding, yet delightful test of Golf. Inevitably, the well-designed clubhouse provides panoramic views of the Devon and Dorset coastline and offers an excellent catering service and a well-stocked bar.

We at Weston-Super-Mare recognise these requirements and structure ourselves to give you all the support and assistance you need to ensure the success of your visit. The course is on links running parallel to the beach on the south side of Weston-Super-Mare town. Being relatively flat it provides easy walking, but is laid out to give a good test of golf to players of all capabilities. The greens are always of the highest quality, and being located in an area enjoying a moderate climate with free-draining subsoil golf is playable throughout the year and can provide a welcome change from temporary greens and artificial tees other clubs endure throughout the winter months.
