well placed bunkers. Excellent clubhouse and
facilities. a good test for all levels of
ability.
Considered by many to be one of the best courses
in the UK, Royal Portrush is certainly one of
the toughest driving tests. The fairways are
very tight and bordered by some of the most
hazardous "long stuff" to be found anywhere. The
scenery is spectacular with views of Islay, Paps
of Jura and not forgetting the legendary Giants
Causeway. The tight fairways plunge up and down
valleys, leading to greens which offer a true
test of putting. Two of its most famous holes,
Calamity Corner and Purgatory are surely amongst
the most aptly named in golf!!
