Derby Cycle Routes - Elvaston and Swarkestone
Start From The Council House,

Derby, DE1 2FS These are two cycle routes from Derby city centre which can be linked together to provide longer circular routes. The two off-road sections, the Riverside Path and the Derby Canal Path are suitable for the inexperienced rider and families with children - please note that the Canal Path crosses three roads so care must be taken at these points. Route A - The Riverside Way to Elvaston Castle is 4 miles; with a circular option to make it 14 miles. Derby Cycle Routes - Kedleston Lanes
Start From The Council House,
Corporation Street,
Derby, DE1 2FS The Kedleston Lanes cycle route starts and finishes in the Riverside Gardens by the Council House in Derby. The route covers about 18 miles through the lanes north-west of Derby and uses parts of the National Cycle Network Route 54. The ride takes in the villages of Kirk Langley, Weston Underwood and Quarndon. Because of the route, the ride is not suitable for young families or inexperienced riders. Derby Cycle Routes - Locko Park, Dale Abbey & Nutbrook Trail
Start From The Council House,
Corporation Street,
Derby, DE1 2FS The main route covers 20 miles and takes in Locko Park and Dale Abbey, returning via Stanton by Dale, Risley and the Riverside Path and includes a shorter 17 mile route via Ockbrook. The longer route covers 24 miles and links to the Nutbrook Trail, part of the cycle path between Long Eaton and Heanor. All the routes involve cycling on roads and some steep hills - therefore they may be unsuitable for families or those with limited road cycling experience. [Back to top]
