This friendly club provides an all round
canoeing / kayaking experience for novice &
experts alike. The club is based on Christchurch
harbour. Qualified coaches in
attendance at all times. Minimum age 8 years.
Days/Times: The club meets every Thursday
evening at 6.15p.m. during the season (Daylight
permitting) Club trips are organised on a
regular basis at weekends.

sailing and watersports skills.
As a RYA training centre, you can learn
how to dinghy sail, windsurf or kayak
with our fully-trained instructors and
being based on the Isle of Wight, we have
access to a variety of locations and
weather conditions.
Regardless of your ability, as long
as you are over 8 years old we have the course for
you!We provide all safety equipment for the duration
of your course and offer both residential and
non-residential prices. Make your next visit to

Medina Valley Centre is a
Christian charity located on the sheltered banks
of the Medina river, which
means conditions are particularly
favourable for novices.
We have a fleet of open
canoes as well as a fleet of sit-on kayaks and so
can offer “taster” sessions in both canoeing and
kayaking. The canoes can be rafted together which
produces a very stable “catamaran”, which is
virtually impossible to capsize.
Sessions will be run with a ratio of 1
qualified instructor to a maximum of eight
students - minimum age
of eight. Discounts available for
group bookings. It is necessary to pre-book, as we
can only run sessions when there is sufficient
water, and tides change every day!
