is supplied free of charge and they also teach
adults as well as anyone who wants to learn how
to fly fish. Instructors are fully trained to
GAIA standards. Child protection and first aid

Rainbow Lake is situated on
Newbridge Road, Burstwick, just past Hedon on the
Withernsea road in East Yorkshire, is well stocked
and has a large selection of fish for all types of
anglers.
The fish in the lake are
Common, Grass, Mirror, and Ghost Carp, Bream,
Roach, Tench, Rudd, Chubb, Perch, Eels, and
Gudgin. The largest fish caught was a Mirror Carp
at 29lb, Commons to 22 lb and the Grass and Ghost
carp to 18 lb. There is parking available at most
swims for ease of access. With 31 swims to choose
from it will be a pleasure to walk around and pick
the one you would most like to fish. Car access is
to most swims, and BLUE BADGE friendly. We
offer overnight stays for angling only.

Caistron Lake
is a mature, picturesque 50 acre lake,
spring fed with crystal clear water near

The River Esk
THE RIVER ESK is the principal salmon and sea
trout fishery in Yorkshire, the water around
Whitby supporting the third largest commercial
salmon net fishery in the country. Please

to fish in any water and a permit to fish in a
particular water is also required.

A rectangular, former mill dam, about sixty
yards by forty, and five feet deep. A Club key
is needed to gain access. There is a clubhouse
and toilets, and the banks are level and mainly
paved, making it suitable for disabled anglers.
Float fish for the good stocks of roach, perch,
crucians, bream and carp. A Club key is needed
for access. Fishing from 7am until dusk. No
night fishing. Open all year.
Doe Park Reservoir

suitable for disabled as long walks are
necessary and banks are dangerous. Up to 50 foot

definitely advised as it is shallow close in and
a huge cast is required. All species grow big

Four Horse Shoe & Wharf

Huddersfield Narrow Canal, set in the old
