River Dart Adventures offers
a fun environment for children and adults within
90 acres of parkland, woods and lakes, to enjoy
non-stop activity in the adventure playgrounds.
The lake fed from the river
with a Pirate Ship, the fun ropes and at a extra
cost "Dare Devil" activities including; High Ropes
Course, Mega Zipwire, Canoeing, Water Zorbs and
Indoor Climbing Wall - supervised with safety kit

environmental projects, which have cut the carbon

Indoor climbing centre and Activity Centre,
offering High Ropes and Zip Wire sessions,
Artificial Caving system and a full range of off
site activities. Rock Climbing, Treasure Hunts,
Survival Camps and Coasteering. It also offers
residential and School learning days/weeks.
During the year we run open courses for
individuals and families. We will take anyone,
unaccompanied, from 9 years old upwards. Courses
are arranged so that children and adults are
treated separately. The only overlap is on
specific family weeks. Unaccompanied children
are fully catered for with a member of our staff
allocated as the group leader and available 24
hours a day. The Activities: The programme is
planned in advance so it is not possible to
satisfy every individual request. However, with
a different activity each half day and a lesser
one each evening, then most wishes are
satisfied. The week always includes: Abseiling,
Surfing, Archery, High Ropes, Assault Course and
Canoeing. Plus a selection from the brochure
which includes: The Big Zipwire, Surf Skiing,
Orienteering, Climbing and Rafting.
A Christian Outdoor Centre catering for groups
of young people from youth clubs, schools,
church groups and youth organisations. It is a
non-profit making registered charity, conceived,
set up and run by committed Christians. A warm
welcome is extended to all groups whether
Christian based or not. The Centre is a
converted Rectory opened in 1978, running a wide
range of activities for groups. A wide range of
activities can be enjoyed during a visit to the
house, such as Kayaking, Canoeing, Rock Climbing
and Abseiling, Surfing, Mountain Biking, Crate
Tower Building, Sailing, Initiative Games,
Archery and Orienteering. Every effort is made
by our fully qualified staff to make the
activities suitable and safe for all ages and
abilities. Complete novices can undertake any
activity and obtain considerable achievement and
satisfaction.
Yenworthy Lodge is registered with the Adventure
Activities Licensing Authority as licensed to
provide specified activities under the following
headings: kayaking, open canoeing, paddle
surfing, improvised rafting, rock climbing,
abseiling, sea level traversing, gorge
scrambling, hill walking and mountaineering,
mountain biking and environmental activities.

Grenville House outdoor education centre is in a
spectacular setting overlooking Brixham Marina
on the English Riviera. It offers the perfect
base for out of season activities involving
groups and organisations.

HAVEN BANKS Outdoor Education Centre is situated
in Exeter on the canal and specialises in
activity-based courses for all ages and
abilities. The Centre is approved by BCU and
RYA. Activities offered include canoeing,
sailing, windsurfing, caving, climbing and
orienteering. Raft building and problem solving
are other popular pursuits. Overnight camps by
canoe along the canal and residential visits at
Exeter Youth Hostel are additional options.
Transport can be provided for groups resident
elsewhere, or for off-site activities.
Individuals are welcome on evening classes and
holiday schemes; groups from schools, clubs and
other organisations can book activities at any
time. Equipment has been carefully chosen to
suit all sizes, ages and abilities. Haven Banks
also has a permanent orienteering course and a
climbing wall.
Our Survival School in the South West of England
is run from one the most stunning of country
estates. We are lucky to be able to provide you
with the very best of teaching environments.
Before you test your skills on our Scotland
courses, we recommend you learn the fundamentals
of fire lighting, shelter building, food
preparation, water purification and navigation
in a more forgiving setting. Escot Park, near
Honiton, has everything you need. Conifers,
Broadleaf trees, fruit bushes, edible plants and
the best outdoor classrooms available.
Isca Outdoor is a small, friendly, Exeter-based

Rock Outdoor Activities For Schools and Groups

Caving takes place in a 'wild cave' beyond the
well lit chambers of Gough's Showcave with
qualified leaders and all safety equipment
supplied. The world famous cliffs of Cheddar
Gorge provide ideal routes for climbing and
abseiling own the fifty foot rock face, lasting
about one and a half hours. Activities can be
booked separately or as a package for a maximum
group of 10.
Come and have fun
decorating pottery. Choose from over 92 different
blank shapes and decorate a plate, a mug, a bowl,
or a jug using our wide range of over 26 different
glazes.Let your
imagination run wild and design a piece of pottery
you will be proud of.
We also offer fabric painting
of all kinds - from
painting t-shirts, bags, T-towels, pencil cases,
Pants, and much more. We have
also teamed up with local Somerset melamine
manufacturer - Watchet products, so
children can paint pictures at Pot Doodles
and they can be turned into melamine products
from Lap trays to clocks to cheese boards,
chopping boards, table mats coaster and much more
