18th Century coach house, renovated to create a superb bar & restaurant facility. Many original features have been restored including the stables which now make up our bar meal seating area. all the ground floor areas have stone floors with a central feature cast iron spiral staircase leading up to the first floor a la carte restaurant, which has views out over looking our cobbled court yard, now used for outside eating & drinking!

The Knockerdown Inn dates from the 17th Century and is set in it's own grounds with stunning views over Carsington Water. Comfortably furnished and well decorated lounge areas lead on to the award winning restaurant with Smoke Free Zone Award. The menu is extensive and caters for all tastes with many vegetarian dishes and a separate Hillbilly Young Diners Menu. Outside the pub has a large car park accessible for coaches with an overflow parking area, and grounds for caravanners and campers. The award winning gardens are a beautiful setting for the children's adventure playground with separate under fives area. The grounds are home to a variety of farm animals and exotics including donkeys and Black African Ostriches. The Knockerdown is open at lunch times and evenings in winter and all day during summer. A highlight of any visit to the Ashbourne area.

The Rose and Crown can be found nestling in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside some three miles north of the A50 and five miles to the south of Ashbourne. The pub dates from the 16th Century and still exhibits many original structural features within it's oak beamed rooms. The pub offers an old world ambience, open fires and traditional country hospitality in keeping with it's ancient origins. Typically of village inns it also boasts it's own local colourful characters creating a warm and friendly atmosphere to complement the excellent beers and lagers on offer. A rarer example of an authentic old village inn well worth a detour.

The Smiths Tavern is a 16th century inn located in the centre of Ashbourne in the Peak District National Park. The pub retains many of it's 'olde world' features and has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. The Smith's Tavern is the winner of the Cask Ale Pub of the Year Award for 2004/2005 and offers the very best in cask ales and home cooked food.
