mile from Alton Towers, The Stables provides
self catering accommodation. The Stables dates
back to the 17th Century and has recently
undergone re-modernisation and can accommodate
up to 10 people. The building consists of two
separate self catering holiday apartments. The
apartments consist of Lounge/Diner, fully fitted
kitchens with cookers, microwaves, toasters,
dishwashers, kettles etc.
The
nearest shop is in the village of Alton (1.5
miles) and for those who don't wish to cook, The
Star Inn does wonderful food and is located next
door. The accommodation is ideally placed for
the Derbyshire Dales, The Peak District and the
thrills of Alton Towers. The market towns of
Ashbourne, Leek and Cheadle are only a short
drive away and if you fancy a day at the races
then Uttoxeter is also close.
