Still popular with
holidaymakers, the Edwardian resort of Rhosneigr
benefits from two broad sandy beaches. Its
conservation area is home to the Anglesey Golf
Club.
The town was once famous for the 18th
century ship wreckers who hid in the nearby Crigyll estuary and lured ships onto the nearby
rocks before plundering their cargoes. Today, the
resort thankfully attracts seafarers of a
different type and is awash with windsurfers when
the conditions are right. |
