atmosphere, and the high quality of our
teaching. Piloting an aircraft is a unique

Caernarfon Air Park has something for everyone;
excellent facilities for visiting pilots; a
pleasant flying club; a convivial licensed
restaurant; comprehensive aircraft maintenance,
inexpensive aircraft hire and highly skilled
flying tuition. There's also the Award Winning
Museum situated on the edge of Snowdonia.
Caernarfon Air World was created in 1940 as RAF
Llandwrog, and it was here that the first RAF
Mountain Rescue Team was formed. In the great
hanger at Caernarfon Air World, you can see
planes and helicopters in landscaped settings,
aircraft engines, ejector seats and a huge
collection of over four hundred model aircraft.
All within five minutes walk of a superb beach
with the Snowdon Mountain range as a backdrop,
combine to make the Air Park the premier
aviation resource of North Wales.

At North Wales Gliding Club (NWGC) we have a
small, friendly club of people who love to to
fly over the beautiful Welsh countryside. We
offer full training to anyone wanting to learn
to fly.
Denbigh Gliding Club is a very friendly club
with full time professional gliding instructors.
We have all the facilities you would expect from
a quality gliding site including club house,
hanger and our own gliders. Gliding conditions
at Denbigh are superb, we have incredible wave
and ridge flying and good thermals to soar.
North Wales has beautiful scenery to admire from
the air and many places to visit when not
flying.

Whether you're a newly qualified pilot or an old
hand then we offer an environment where you can
enjoy your flying to the full.
Situated in the
north-east Wales area and
within easy travelling
distance of Liverpool, Manchester and the
Midlands. NWHGPC now has an open access policy
to its flying sites where visitors are current
BHPA registered pilots qualified to CP and
above, and there are no extra restrictions
imposed by landowners.
Snowdonia Skysports is a non-commercial club,
co-ordinating paragliding and hang gliding in
the spectacular, but sensitive, mountain flying
area of Snowdonia and North Wales.

New Heights
microlight school is based directly at
Caernarfon Airport in North Wales.
The airport has two 840 mtr tarmac runways
running East West, North East - South West
and has full facilities including cafe,
Avgas refuelling, hanger, aviation museum
makes it a unique and excellent location
for flying Microlights whilst having the
main big plus point of being just minutes
from the fabulous Snowdonia mountain
range, Caernarfon Castle, Anglesey,
Portmeirion, the list of great places goes
on and on.
Even though the airport has good
facilities, we are please to have a
separate training room and Microlight
centre making it a relaxed and friendly
environment for the Microlight enthusiasts
to visit and to do training.
Dinas Microlight
Club is a growing club based at Caernarfon
airport, we pride ourselves on having a
relaxed friendly environment and are only
too happy to
offer help and support whether you have no
flying experience, or many hours.
Things to be planed for the future are
club flying day outs, flying weekends
away, open days for visitors to
Caernarfon, and soon we will be publishing
dates and the location for our monthly
club meetings, talks by visitors and
general chinwags.
We are always really please to have non
members visit us but If your interested in
becoming a full flying member or even a
non flying country member, then we would
be only to pleased to welcome you to our
Dinas Microlight club.
Cheshire Flyers are a large group of microlight
aeroplane pilots who operate from various
airfields, farm fields and hostelries all around
Cheshire, Shropshire and North Wales.
