beginners.

Welcome to Downs-side Riding
Centre, we are a well established ABRS approved
centre with over 20 years of experience. Based in
the scenic location of Penarth in the Vale of
Glamorgan between Barry and Cardiff.
We have a selection of
horses and ponies suitable for all standards and
ages of rider, but we are happy to arrange
schooling and individual tuition on your own
horse. We can also cater for those lucky enough to
own their own horse, with full, part time or DIY
livery service available. You can leave your horse
in our capable hands where we can also arrange
schooling and individual tuition.

The Riding Centre offers a wide range of excellent
facilities for all abilities. Riding takes place
within the Dare Valley Country Park and all
equipment is provided. Our children's courses
include stable management as well as riding. Your
child will have the opportunity to feed and groom
their pony in addition to receiving lessons from
our qualified staff. The children's courses
culminate in a small show with prizes for
everyone.
The Riding Centre is a
member of the Riding for the Disabled Association,
and as such is able to offer 100% wheelchair
access and fully qualified riding instruction.
