Originally a country house, the Stone House
Hotel is now a modern hotel with a traditional
feel. The 70 cover restaurant is set in
attractive landscape gardens, and has been
refurbished (since Corus Hotels took it over)
into a style that is bright and modern, with
traditional undertones. For eating out on all
occasions it offers a table D'Hôte menu, which
changes daily, and also an a la carte menu.

Created and run by the same family for over 18
years, Granvilles is an informal restaurant/wine
bar in the popular market town of Stone. The
cosmopolitan menu, offering dishes from all over
the world, is regularly changed, and "specials"
are always available. Live music is a feature on
Fridays and Saturdays, and often during the
week, with regular performances from
internationally famous musicians, including
George Melly, Kenny Ball, King Pleasure, Ruby
Turner and Humphrey Lyttleton.
