The Centre is situated adjacent to the Wyreley &
Essington Canal in Brownhills. A calendar of
events and activities takes place throughout the
year, including orienteering, off-road cycling
and local history/nature walks. We also provide
B C U canoe training courses, from beginners to
higher level coaching qualifications. The Centre
contains a British Waterways boater’s service
station, temporary moorings, visitor’s toilet
and shower facilities and is conveniently
situated right next to a large Tesco’s
supermarket. Kayak or canoeing sessions for:
Individuals or family groups (any age), Birthday
parties, School groups, youth or community
groups, Corporate team building days, Day,
weekend or evening sessions. Drop-in sessions,
Saturdays 12.30 till 2.30. For bookings or any
other enquiries.

A 40-acre lake used by windsurfers, model
boaters and anglers. Wide variety of bird life.
Footpath around lake to woodland, wildflower
meadow, children's play facilities, picnic area
and information centre. The Trent and Mersey
Canal runs alongside and an attractive canalside
pub is just a short walk along the touring path.
Access off the A38 just south of the Branston /
Burton turn off.
