This large, attractive village
lies just 10 miles from Oxford at the foot of the
beautiful Chiltern Hills. An important settlement
existed here at least as early as the Saxon
period, probably due to its proximity to the River
Thames. During the Second World War, nearby RAF
Benson was the base of the RAF’S Photographic
Reconnaissance Unit. |
