About the Railway

A train journey for the young and not so young alike.

Travel on the Hilcote Valley Railway, designed and built by miniature railway enthusiast Roger Greatrex.  The authentic railway has level crossings, a bridge, tunnel, locomotive shed, sidings, turntable, ticket office and a station bedecked with flowers and shrubs.

All trains are hauled by authentic steam or diesel locomotives pulling teak trimmed coaches.

The railways operates special events weekends with visiting locomotives, these are advertised in the press and on this website.
