At Forest
Adventure, we can accommodate groups for
any occasion, whether it be a stag or
hen-do, birthday party or a group of
friends on a weekend away.
Our choice of activities caters for everyone
from the novice to the experienced. The Wye Valley
is Canoe Country! - We paddle the most scenic
stretches of the river, from placid water to
turbulent rapids. Your instructor will brief you
on kayak/canoe control, and safety procedures. You
will be taught flat water skills and moving water
techniques, all combined with a lot of fun and
games! Maybe train towards your star awards - a
national award system accredited by the British
Canoe Union. Canoe & Bivouac Weekends - An all
inclusive river safari from Hoarwithy to Monmouth
- a magical and memorable experience and the very
spirit of adventure!
RAFT BUILDING (Water Based) - Using
barrels, poles, paddles, buoyancy aids and
helmets, the group constructs a raft of their own
design with the encouragement of our instructors.
The success of the raft is tested whilst the
instructor supervises from a kayak or canoe as a
safety boat. These sessions are run by a British
Canoe Union Level 2 or Level 3 Coach.
Wyedean Canoe &
Adventure Centre is located at Symonds Yat East,
an idyllic setting in the heart of the Wye
Valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Activities on offer include; canoeing &
kayaking, rock climbing, abseiling, caving,
archery, rope courses, team building, helicopter
tours, racetrack days and all-day adventure
walks.
We also have an on-site shop stocked with a
range of canoeing & outdoor products.
Tipi Adventure combines a Canadian canoe
expedition with overnight accommodation in
large, luxury tipi lodges located in remote and
exclusive riverside settings. This unique
outdoor adventure experience in the UK is
specifically designed for families & couples
wanting a blend of adventure, comfort and peace.
All our tipis are
located in very small private riverside clusters
completely on their own! (Typically only 2-3
tipi’s per cluster). Each cluster has its own
loo(s), water supply, store of firewood, first
aid and fire safety equipment. The tipis are
spread well apart to give privacy for all.
Paddle down one of the
UK’s leading canoe touring rivers in an “Old
Town” Canadian canoe before finding your own
riverside tipi in a most beautiful and peaceful

Provides training up to SAA
Dive Supervisor. Courses available in Rescue, O2
administration, underwater photography,
powerboat handling and VHF. Snorkelling training
also available for aged 12 and upwards.
A family club formed in 1960, which can be found
on the River Avon just north of Tewkesbury.
Racing is organised on every Sunday within
season (March - December) and Wednesday evenings
(summer only).
