For those of you who
haven't visited the venue before, the Assembly
Rooms is a multipurpose venue located on the
Market Place in the centre of Derby City.
It promotes a year round
programme of Arts and Entertainment, including
an orchestral season, comedy, rock and pop
events, family entertainment such as the annual
celebrity pantomime & annual ice-show, dance,
drama and children's shows. It also offers space
for a range of events including conferences,
corporate presentations, trade exhibitions,
dinner dances and weddings.

Derby Playhouse is one of the country's leading
repertory theatre companies, providing a lively
variety of Main House productions each season as
well as work in their Studio.
The 530 seat Playhouse is situated in the Eagle
Shopping Centre and comprises Main House,
Studio, coffee-bar and theatre bar. There is
ample parking in the Eagle Centre car-park.

Metro Cinema is Derby's only independent cinema,
screening over 200 titles from around the world,
from the latest in contemporary film to
Hollywood classics. The cinema has an audience
capacity of 126, and is a registered charity.
Metro is one of a network of national
Independent Cinemas as is supported by Derby
City Council, the Arts Council, The UK Film
Council, EM Media and the University of Derby.
The cinema hosts an extensive educational
programme of regular study days, guest speakers
and film courses that are aimed at schools,
colleges and the general public. Metro also has
BSL interpreting screen for children with autism
and for adults with complex needs. It is the
cinema's core aim to make film more accessible
to everyone and bring Derby a diverse selcetion
of titles that would otherwise never reach the
city.

The Scala cinema is a 90 year old listed
building situated on Pimlico Road, Market Place,
Ilkeston. It seats 428
people and is equipped with full Dolby sound.
There is also a large, easy access, Pay &
Display car park adjacent to the cinema.
