A member of the British Canoe Union, Matlock
Canoe Club was formed in 1984.
The club meets every Sunday morning and
Wednesday evening at the slalom site.
General practice sessions are held on Monday
evenings at the Matlock Lido Swimming Pool. The
club welcomes the involvement of all members the
family.
Water sports have always been the central
attraction of Rother Valley Country Park. All
equipment must be rigged by the hirer, no
refunds will be made for lack of experience,
advance booking is advisable. 24 hours notice
must be given for cancellations otherwise the
full cost of the booking becomes payable.

Burton Sailing Club
enjoys the excellent sailing facilities at
ForemarkReservoir
which is situated within easy reach of Derby,
Nottingham,Burton,Leicester and Loughborough. The
reservoir covers 230 acres and is one of the
best stretches of water available in the area
for sailing. The club hasmembership of approximately 200 which
includes ordinary, junior, familymembership as well as group membership
with several local
colleges/universities.
How to find BSC. The club has exclusive use
of aclubhouse which
includes a fully fitted kitchen, changing
rooms withshowers,
bar and wet and dry lounge areas. The
clubhouse has excellentviewsover
the reservoir both inside and on the adjacent
patio area. So whilstnotsailing
you can spectate in comfort, or merely just
soak up the beauty ofthe surroundings. There is also a
childrens' play area alongsideclubhouse. There is a large sheltered dinghy park
with berths for approx 400 boats. The
park is on a slight gradient leading down to a
wide concrete slipway thatextends well into the reservoir making
launching easy. There is also alongpontoon
for mooring.

Hall Leys Park is situated in the centre of
Matlock on the banks of The River Derwent.
A small boating lake is one of the parks many
attractions, other facilities include tennis,
miniature golf, a miniature railway, bowls, a
children's play area complete with paddling
pool.

Sited at Woolley Moor, the reservoir covers 200
acres. Leisure facilities include club sailing,
wind surfing, trout fishing and two observation
hides for Ornithologists.
Picnic tables, car park and toilets are
provided. Open all year round.
