Barlow Trout & Coarse Fishery

On the edge of the Derbyshire Peak District, Barlow Trout and Coarse Fishery is set in 50 acres of beautiful, secluded valley. Comprising of holiday cottages, a camping club site, four trout lakes, four coarse lakes and a fresh water brook, the fishery is situated only four miles from Chesterfield and ten miles from Sheffield City Centre. The fishery can be reached in around 15-20 minutes from junction 29 of the M1 motorway, Day tickets are available for fly fishing, from £6 per day, and coarse angling from £4 daily. Facilities include ample car parking, a log-cabin snack bar, toilets and rod hire. Fly fishing tuition is bookable by appointment and general advice is always freely available. Disabled anglers will find concrete pegs and flat and easy access to the coarse lakes. The lakes are open all year from dawn to dusk.

1 acre mill pond with room for approx 25 anglers. quiet picturesque setting. Tench to 5lbs, roach to 1lb, carp to 15lbs, perch to 1lb, chub to 3lbs,rudd to 12oz, bream to 5lbs and gudgeon. This water is open all year. Night fishing is possible on this water. This water is suitable for disabled anglers.

1.5 acre lake surrounded by trees. Good access from A6 by-pass. Roach, Perch to 1lb. Tench to 3lbs. Carp to 14lbs, Bream to 3lbs and skimmers and Rudd to 12oz. Day Ticket available for this water. This water is open all year.

Set in beautiful countryside in the Derbyshire Peak District, it is one of the most spectacular venues you could hope to fish. Fishing is fly only and stocking with Rainbow, Browns and Triploids is regular throughout the season. Record fish are Rainbow 17lb 4oz and Brown 11lb 7oz. There are plenty of places to fish from the bank although access to some parts can be restricted when water levels are high. Boats are also available. The season runs from 1st March to 2nd November 2008, with a variety of different permits available from the fishery office (telephone 01433 651254) on the edge of the reservoir on the A6013 Bamford road.

200 acre reservoir owned by Severn Trent Water set in woodland and upland pastures. Clear water. No wading. Rainbows and Browns stocked every autumn to allow fish to mature and grow.

The Fishery has 3 lakes; A 5 acre trout lake, a 3 acre Carp Lake and 3 acre Coarse lake. In beautiful surroundings set on the edge of the Peak District National Park. This water is suitable for disabled anglers. Rainbow, Brown, Tiger and Brook stocked weekly with fish averaging 1.5lbs. Fishery record 10lb 8oz Rainbow, 5lb 8oz Brown, 5lb Brook and 1lb 4oz tiger.
