The Lord Nelson is a
privately owned hotel offering first class
accommodation at reasonable prices. A completely refurbished Grade II listed building with a wealth of national
charm, it affords a pleasant atmosphere in informal
surroundings. There are many places of interest:- The Wrekin was this 1300ft hill created, as legend would have it, by giants or was it once an active volcano - whichever, from the top the view of the Shropshire/Cheshire plain is quite breathtaking.- Ironbridge. This historic town - the home of the first iron bridge built by Abraham Derby in 1779 also hosts the Blists Hill Museum, a working museum recreated from the Industrial Revolution.- Coalport.
Offering it's name to the famous Coalport china, this captivating little village still provides a working Museum where original pieces of china are still on display. A large selection of all patterns can be purchased at the Coalport shop.- Bridgnorth - immensely popular with visitors with its High and Low towns perched on the banks of the River Severn. It also boasts the thriving Severn Valley Railway upon which you may journey through time to the attractive town of Bewdley.- Shrewsbury. With its own castle, standing 11 miles west of Wellington, investigate the buildings of yesteryear interspersed with the commerce of today.- Cosford. Here at the RAF base you will find the British Aerospace Museum, making a perfect day out for all the
