With its pine flooring, water fountain, white
walls and spotlights, Spice Valley Tandoori is
more reminiscent of an Italian or Chinese
restaurant than an Indian eatery. Light, fresh
and fragrant - these words describe both the
food and decor, with most dishes leaving you
satisfyingly replete rather than the traditional
bloated feeling often associated with rice-based
cuisines. The menu itself is incredibly varied,
straying from the traditional curry fare to
include such delicacies as duck, venison and
fish. With prices and atmosphere to match (they
even have a pianist at weekends) this restaurant
is one of the finest in the region.
