Cherwell Edge Golf Club
is a very picturesque and challenging 18 hole
parkland course, that can be enjoyed by both
high and low handicap players.
It has a par of 70 and is
surrounded by fantastic scenery and views. You

The course was built to the highest standards,
with no expense spared on its Greens, which are
superb, and the fairways where the ball sits up
waiting to be hit. It is a pleasure to play, and
a real challenge for all players whatever their
standard. It has already been chosen for two
County events. The course has spectacular views
to the Berkshire Downs and the historic
Wittenham Clumps. The club has a superb
purpose-built clubhouse, with drink and good
food available all day every day. Practice
facilities include a 20 bay covered floodlit
driving range, practice bunkers, chipping green,
pitching area and large putting green. There are
two teaching professionals, and two children's
clinics are run every Saturday. The Golf Shop is
fully stocked with all the latest equipment. The
members have numerous competitions played over
most weekends and some weekdays. Societies needs
can be catered for by the friendly club staff.
Visitors are always welcome to come and play the
course. Tee times can be booked up to a week in
advance by visitors, call 01235 510410. Pro-shop
and Driving Range opening hours are 0830 - 2030
Monday to Thursday, (Friday close 2000), 0700 -
1930 Saturday and Sunday.
...Faringdon Golf Course is hailed as one of the
best 9 hole, par 3 courses in Oxfordshire.
It is set in beautiful wooded parklands, with
lakes and other hazards, making it challenging
for the experienced golfer, yet enjoyable for
the new player.
Faringdon is a friendly
and informal course welcoming beginners,
families and the more established players. The
dress code is relaxed. The course also offers
club hire at £2.50 for a half set. Another major
advantage of Faringdon Golf Course is the amount
of time it takes to play the course, we all lead
such busy lives that few of us have 5 hours to
spare to play 18 holes on a full size course, at
Faringdon to play 9 holes should take somewhere
between 50 and 60 minutes.
The Green Fee prices offer excellent value with
9 holes at £9 or the full 18 for £11. There's
also an excellent value day ticket for £13 with
which you may play as many times as you wish.
Reduced rates are available for juniors,
students and senior players. The course also
offers 5 and 7-day membership. So if you are
looking to play golf, somewhere players of all
abilities can enjoy, you don't need to look any
further than Faringdon Golf Course. This course
really has to be played to be appreciated. A
strong recommendation to check out this venue
for yourself. The course is located on the edge
of Faringdon in the village of Great Coxwell
just off the A420 Swindon to Oxford road and is
well worth the trip.

stunning 6,500yd par 71 lakeland golf course is

Inter-club matches are held regularly and
members of all standards are encouraged to
