Burford, often referred to as
'Gateway to the Cotswolds', it was the first
Cotswold town, before 1107, to be granted a
charter. Burford is an attractive town with a
steep main street leading down to the River
Windrush. Many of the buildings date back to Tudor
and Georgian times. Burford is well known for its
antique shops and is an ideal base for exploring
the Cotswolds. A lovely area for walking and
cycling. |
