We have three bedrooms, each individually decorated with stylish and luxurious furniture. The INDIAN ROOM has a splendid antique four-poster rosewood bed with a coloured glass canopy. The ART DECO room has an ornate 1920's chrome and enamel bed and the ROCOCCO room has a richly carved mahogany bed in the French style. All bedrooms are en-suite, each having flat-screen TV, radio alarm clock, hair dryer, coffee and tea making facilities, biscuits, fresh milk, flowers, fruit and bottled water. The house is centrally heated throughout and has a cosy landing lounge area with leather armchairs, books, maps and board games. There is a wide choice at breakfast from our delicious varied menu, served in our contemporary restaurant. For a small charge breakfast ordered the night before can be served in the bedrooms. Daily newspapers are available in the restaurant.
Family-run restaurant, St. Michael's, has a seasonal, weekly-changing menu of English food cooked using French techniques by chef co-owner Matt. Everything is fresh and homemade and our bread is baked here daily. Local produce is such a big part of our philosophy that we even source berries and greens from the hedgerows. These finds have brought such delights as nettle and herb stuffing, wild garlic soup, berry preserves and wild mushrooms to the menu. Lunch is available as a three-course meal or a la carte. The more formal table
D'Hôte dinner menu has a choice of six different dishes for each course, and we serve a traditional Sunday Roast. London firm Corney and Barrow supplies our fine wine list and several lesser-known wines are selected by Matt's wife Magda, a Czech
Vintner's daughter. Our proficient, professional Headwaiter, Hannan, and all our friendly staff are looking forward to meeting and serving you. Rating: 4*
