NEW QUAY New Quay - Photo : Ruth Jowett CCL A popular seaside resort with sheltered beaches and a picturesque harbour, New Quay was an important shipbuilding centre until the mid-19th century. In the 1940’s it provided inspiration for the poet Dylan Thomas who regarded it as his favourite holiday destination.
