If you have ever
wondered what it would be like to feel the
weightlessness of scuba diving experiencing the
pleasures of the underwater world, then scuba
diving is the sport for you?. With our fully
qualified PADI instructors you will be taught
the basic skills required to become a certified
Scuba Diver.
Learn to dive or improve
your skills with our PADI diving courses for
beginners or advanced divers. We also offer
specialist courses, including Advanced
Divemaster, Rescue Diver, wreck diving and
underwater photography. Paintball also available
- Paintball Games incorporates some of this
exciting and rapidly growing sport's most
innovative features. We believe our undulating
woodland site in South Wales is one of the best
in the UK.
Ocean Quest is a premier watersports and scuba
diving centre based in Cardiff, Porthcawl and
Swansea offering Scuba diving, full scuba diving
courses, surfing, Kayaking, Power boating,
Wakeboarding and Waterskiing. We are south Wales

We offer full instruction in our centre with our
Padi International award winning instructors
offering full Padi scuba diver training courses
with dive school's covering South Wales. We
offer scuba diving training in Cardiff Swansea
and Porthcawl, with regular pool sessions for
experienced divers to keep their scuba skills up
to date. We are also a full British Sub Aqua
Club (BSAC) training facility.
Our fully trained watersports instructors are
also expert in many other areas including
Surfing, kayaking, and power boating with
instruction, training and technical advice given

Cardiff Yacht Club dinghy section is one of the
four sections of Cardiff Yacht Club. In recent
years the section has grown from strength to
strength (long may this continue), run by a
variety dinghy sailors from varied sailing
backgrounds, encompassing a variety of boats and
experience. The section itself owns four club
boats, for the section members to use,
consisting of two enterprises and two toppers
aswell as a fully equipped safety boat. Within
the dinghy compound you will find a variety of
boats, old and new, including a Wanderer, a
Miracle, a few Enterprises, a GP14, a Laser
4000, an RS200, Larks, and even a Wineglass to
name but a few. Over the years the dinghy
section has enjoyed a healthy relationship with
Cardiff University, whose sailing club enjoy the
use of CYC and share the dinghy section
compound. Many students now own private dinghies
and are members of the dinghy section itself.
During the term time various RYA courses are
offered to section members and the university
Magno, Buzz and Firefly fleet can be seen
regularly out on the bay. In the past year CYC
dinghy section has paired up with CBYC dinghy
section, with which we share the bay, to enjoy
joint racing series, enhancing our fleet sizes
and halving our resource usage. We sail every
Sunday morning, with the first race starting at
10:30 and as the sun stays out longer, every
Wednesday evening, first race starting at 18:00.

Cardiff Cats Water Bus Services provides a great
way of travelling from Penarth to Cardiff Bay
and the City, and seeing local landmarks from
the water. The fully enclosed 50-seat water bus
"Cygnet" offers "pay as you go" public cruises
and private charters, with cruises tailored to
meet individual needs. Voyages can take you
through the Cardiff Bay Barrage sea locks, up
the River Taff to the Millennium Stadium, up the
River Ely, and around the Cardiff waterfront.
The aim of the club is to encourage sailing as a
sport for all age groups. Club members can sail
on the lake, other than in the designated "no
go" areas as shown on the map in the Club house,
at all times except during January. The
membership ranges from those who find enjoyment
just sailing around the lake through to the
racing enthusiasts. By special arrangement,
schools and other similar organisations can
apply for membership. Changing rooms are
available to members throughout the sailing
season, which runs from March to November. The
Clubhouse is open on club days (Sundays and Bank
holidays) and reasonably priced lunches and
light refreshments are available on club days.
Set in sixty-nine beautiful acres, Llanishen
Reservoir on the Northern outskirts of Cardiff
provides the ideal setting for the beginner or
more advanced water sports enthusiast. Llanishen
Sailing Centre has been a specialist Royal
Yachting Association Establishment for over
twenty five years. The Centre is British Canoe
Union approved and is registered with The
Adventure Activities Licensing Authority. Our
charges include all tuition fees and equipment.
Youth charges apply to those aged 8 - 16 years.
A full range of RYA / BCU Logbooks and Handbooks
may be purchased to compliment your Course. The
Centre offers eleven classes of dinghy, so
whatever your age, size or ability we can get
you out on the water in a boat that suits you.

£20 for the first lesson, dropping to £15 for
the next lesson(s) within the same year. Price
includes surfboard, wetsuit, wetsuit boots and
full 2 hour instruction.
