A village on the banks of the River Teifi,
Pontrhydfendigaid is notable for staging an
annual Eisteddfod and lies close to the
picturesque ruins of Strata Florida Abbey in the
bucolic ‘Valley of the Flowers’; nestling in
ideal walking country, the Cistercian building
was founded in the 12th century and became one
of Wales’ most important political centres.
