from an experienced rider simply hiring a horse for the
odd hour to residential riding courses for absolute
beginners. This section is intended to include
Riding Schools and Riding Centres, Residential Riding
Holidays, Pony Trekking, etc.

Our 200 year old
farmhouse is set within the beautiful Exmoor
National Park giving you a homely and laidback
relaxing holiday. Licensed bar and delicious
food available. There are suitable horses for
every level of rider - so come and try our
wonderful rides across Exmoor National park.
Special short breaks: 2 nights accommodation &
horse riding £220 per person. Special winter
weekend breaks available.
Roylands is a small family run stables,
established since 1988. It began with about
seven horses and has gradually built up to a
mixed bunch of good tempered, friendly, quality
horses and ponies ranging from experienced well
schooled horses and ponies used for teaching, to
reliable trustworthy horses for the complete
novice who just wants to ride for fun!!
Keypitts Farm is set in
a picturesque valley, only three miles from the
North Devon coast. Keypitts Farm has over 200
acres of wooded and pasture land, with brooks
and ponds which all add to the excitement of the
many activities on offer. Keypitts is constantly
acquiring and updating their adventure equipment
and facilities.
Keypitts has a Snack bar
for light refreshments, and in the summer
employs up to 35 people ensuring constant care
and attention at all times. We pride ourselves
on safety record and that all our training and
handling of the equipment is carried out to the
highest standards.
Enjoy a gentle hack through local countryside.
We have horses and ponies for all sizes, ages
and abilities. Novices and children most
welcome. Our staff are friendly and experienced.

Superb hacking all off road. Fantastic horses
for all makes and models of rider. Sedate
hacking for the beginner to exhilarating gallops
for the experienced rider, Cross country course,
beach rides, hacks and carriage driving. Also
Quad bike rides for non riders.
Three full time qualified instructors can cater
for the absolute beginner to career students and
competition rider. We have top quality horses
and ponies that compete regularly with success
in the show ring and the dressage arena. Regular
competitions are held for clients on the
premises. North Devon Equestrian Centre is also
a Pony Club Centre enabling children without
their own pony to take part in Pony Club
activities and work their way through the Pony
Club Tests and Proficiency Badges and also take
part in our summer camp. Full and part liveries
are taken and the facilities offered include two
outdoor schools, good quality stabling, 24 hour
supervision, post and rail turnout paddocks and
quiet, safe hacking.
Dean Riding Stables is an approved yard, within
the Exmoor National Park. We have quality well
mannered horses and ponies, and offer escorted
hacking and instruction for all ages and levels.
Nervous and novice are especially welcome. With
an all-weather surface 60m by 30m and a set of
coloured Show Jumps, we offer training and show
jumping instruction for competition, taught by
our very experienced and BHS trained staff. We
supply up-to-date riding hats, offer progressive
tests and are approved as a Pony Club Centre.
The centrally heated farmhouse is furnished to
accommodate up to 10 people. We can therefore
offer a peaceful fun holiday for riding and
non-riding family members by arrangement.
