A busy
Dartmoor town, Yelverton stands at the heart
of a region made famous by the great English
adventurer Sir Francis Drake who lived in the
former monastery of Buckland Abbey. It is now
managed by the National Trust and hosts
exhibitions about the life of this remarkable
English hero. Other major attractions include
gardens within the ruins of a medieval
vicarage and the Yelverton Paperweight Centre.
