This characterful resort lies
within the so-called Cornish Riviera and has
successfully retained the flavour of an old
pilchard fishing village.
Its colour-washed cottages and boat-bobbing
harbour are reminders of days long gone.
One of the many waterfront cottages contains a
smuggling museum while a natural outdoor ‘swimming
pool’ is refilled each day at high tide by the
inrushing ocean.
