The Regent Centre in the High Street was
originally built in 1931 as a cinema for the
town and still retains all the art deco charm of
that era. Its extensive programme includes: new
film releases, plays, concerts, opera, talks and
community studio theatre. The long spacious
foyer is in constant use by local artists
exhibiting their paintings and is a great place
to meet and enjoy a cup of coffee. Facilities
for disabled people, visually impaired and hard
of hearing are available.
