Visitors often head for
Brighstone to see one of the most remarkable views
on the Isle of Wight. The village nestles beneath
Brighstone Down, the top of which rises to 700ft.
From here you can see from one end of the island
to the other.
Brighstone has a splendid
church, the interior containing detail spanning
several centuries, from medieval arches and a
Norman arcade to a 13th century doorway. Two
sanctuary chairs were donated by the writer
Charlotte Younge.
