It was from an RAF station
here, east of Chichester, that pilots took off
to take part in dogfights during the
victorious Battle of Britain in 1940.
Their
exploits are recalled at The Military Aviation
Museum which houses a number of old planes as
well as photographs, maps, uniforms and other
memorabilia. |
