Lying in the comfortable
shadow of the South Downs, near Lewes.
This small coastal town in East Sussex has a
short but enterprising history, dating
mainly from
the early part of the 20th century when a
local businessman named Charles Neville
decided to turn it into a holiday resort.
The
Greenwich Meridian line runs through the town
and is marked with a monument.
A pebbly beach
is located beneath nearby cliffs. |
