Founded in 1895, this flat parkland course is

all standards, excellent clubhouse and leisure

An 18-hole (6,205 yds) heathland layout
established over a 100 years ago. The original 9
holes were designed by the master Old Tom Morris
with James Braid completing the extension in
1934. The course demands constant attention as a
combination of tree lined fairways place the
emphasis on precision golf rather than distance,
although both are required. Alyth's most
demanding aspect however, might be it's tranquil
setting. Within it you may lose yourself in the
joys of a good game of golf with a layout so
conceived that you barely notice other groups of
golfers.
Two long heathland championship courses that are
very well maintained and have quality greens.
Long challenging par 4s and 5s will test your
play as will the tricky approach shots to well
guarded greens. Excellent clubhouse and
facilities. Handicap certificate required.
Designed by John Salvesen, the Rannaleroch
course has already been described as 'a
Classic'. The generous greens are great targets,
but their undulations make holing out a greater
challenge than you might expect. The four par
3's each present an individual challenge,
ranging from 122 to 224 yards, while the fifth,
a challenging par 5, requires a 160 yard carry
over water from the White Tees. Set in
undulating parkland with hundreds of mature
trees, the Rannaleroch Course is forgiving of
inexperience, yet presents a stern test of golf
from the white tees for low handicappers.
Happily, whatever your handicap, Salvesen's
ingenious design ensures there are few uphill
holes, despite rolling terrain.
Short challenging parkland course, accuracy is
essential with some tight fairways, a good
challenge for all abilities, well maintained
with good greens. A handicap certificate is
required. Excellent clubhouse and facilities.
