Landmark is one of Scotland's favourite family
attractions, and is sited only seven miles
(11km) north of Aviemore. The centre is located
in a 30 acre natural ancient pine wood and
provides a fascinating and entertaining day for
all ages. The attractions include a 3-D audio
visual show, "The Great Wood of Caledon". There
are exhibitions on the forestry industry, Man in
the Highlands from the Ice Age to the present
day, and the natural history of the ancient pine
wood. There is also a giant adventure
playground, working steam-powered Sawmill *,
Clydesdale Horse demonstrations *, Fun Forest
Maze, Shop, Restaurant and Snack Bar. A ROLLER
COASTER EXPERIENCE ON A RUNAWAY RAFT! Carefully
designed for people of all ages, the 3 rides
allow you to choose your own level of
adventure...... The Otter - Gentlest, but with a
surprise ending. The Wildcat - fast and furious
with double hump. The Falcon - Imagine a trip
over a 40 foot waterfall! Open Easter to
October.

If you are interested in animals and birds or
just countryside, you will enjoy a visit to this
quiet corner of the Black Isle, an ideal place
for all the family. Come and feed the friendly
ducks, geese and swans on the many ponds. Make
contact with our friendly goats and stroke the
cuddly rabbits. See the pot-bellied pigs, rare
sheep and cattle. A tearoom and gift shop are
available or you can enjoy a picnic in the play
area set aside for children. Let the children
and Mum see how chicks develop in the egg and
finally break through their shell in the open
top incubators. (Hatching takes place during the
spring and summer months).
